Snake River 1/15/16

Fishing on the Snake River in Hells Canyon has been very good over the past week. We have been averaging 6-10 fish per boat, and some days we have had many more. Our two most productive techniques have been side drifting yarn balls with eggs and coon shrimp and back trolling divers and shrimp.

This is a fantastic time of year to be in the Canyon. Every day we see a ton of deer, turkeys, and on some days elk and Bighorn Sheep.  We are often see daytime highs in the mid 40's to lower 50's, and I can't think of a better break from the colder weather of the high country around us than a steelhead trip in Hells Canyon.  Our winter special of $150/person with a 4 person minimum will continue through February.
